FC Farsley In the Community

Harnessing the Power of Sport to Inspire, Include and Empower
At FC Farsley, we believe that football is far more than just a game — it’s a powerful tool for connection, growth, and positive change. That’s why we’ve launched FC Farsley In the Community: a dedicated programme focused on using the club’s platform, resources, and spirit to make a meaningful and lasting impact across Farsley and the wider Leeds area.
FC Farsley In the Community sits at the heart of our club’s mission to be a true community asset — not just on matchdays, but all year round. Through a range of inclusive and engaging projects, we aim to create opportunities for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to access sport, education, support, and wellbeing activities in a welcoming and safe environment.
Our work will focus on a number of key areas:
Youth Engagement & Education
Delivering football and multi-sport sessions in schools and community settings, promoting physical activity, personal development, confidence, and teamwork in young people.
Health & Wellbeing
Supporting physical and mental health through walking football, fitness programmes, mental health awareness initiatives, and accessible sessions tailored to all needs and abilities.
Inclusion & Accessibility
Running dedicated projects for underrepresented groups, including girls and women’s football, disability sport, and support for those facing barriers to participation.
Community Outreach & Social Impact
Organising community events, workshops, volunteering opportunities, and support programmes that bring people together, reduce isolation, and strengthen local connections.
Partnership Building
Collaborating with schools, charities, grassroots organisations, and local authorities to widen our reach and ensure our programmes are shaped by community need.
Our ambition is to create a club that is open and accessible to everyone — a hub for learning, activity, support, and belonging. Whether it’s inspiring the next generation of players, offering a helping hand to those in need, or simply providing a space where people feel part of something bigger, FC Farsley In the Community is here to make a difference.
If you’re a local school, organisation, charity, or individual who wants to get involved, partner with us, or find out more about our upcoming programmes, we’d love to hear from you.
Together, we can build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community — through football, for everyone.
Whether you’re looking to get involved in local projects, collaborate on community initiatives, or simply want to learn more about what we do, we’d love to hear from you.
