Hosting a Bradford City side who are running rampant through the NERWFL Premier Division was always going to be a tough test for Izzy Roads’ side but there was optimism after a run of positive results had seen The Weavers shoot up the league and enter the game with confidence.

Bradford however were in no mood for giving anything to Farsley and despite some dogged defending, The Weavers found themselves 3-0 in the first twenty minutes to some incisive attacking play as well as one cross that was misjudged by everyone.

Bradford’s class was clearly displayed and they found themselves 6-0 ahead before Brydie Greenwood came off injured just before half time, forcing a reshuffle for Farsley.

A few additional changes were made at half time and despite a couple more goals from The Bantams, it was a much more solid performance from Farsley in the second half to limit them to just two more goals.

While the League Cup campaign ends for this season, there is still plenty more to look forward to as we play our final fixture of 2025 as we visit Sheffield Wednesday in NERWFL Division South action!
